Record Notification Service FAQ


No. This is a separate service that will only notify the subscriber of a recorded document based on the enrolled name and/or parcel number.

The Dauphin County Recorder of Deeds office is the recording office of many types of documents that relate to real property in Dauphin County. These include deeds, mortgages, assignment of mortgages and satisfaction of mortgages.

To sign up, modify your subscription, or unsubscribe to the service, visit www.dauphincounty.gov , click on the sign up button, and then scroll down to the “Additional Information” section on the web page. Here you can unsubscribe, modify your subscription, or request your current subscription information.

No. If a document is presented to our office and meets the recording requirements outline by law,  we must record it.

Yes. You can sign up using multiple names. To register additional names, click on the plus + sign after you enter a name or property. This will allow you to register additional names and properties.

If you receive an alert, a document with the name you provided was recorded in the Dauphin County Recorder of Deeds office. If you feel you did not authorize such a recording, contact the Recorder of Deeds office to inquire what specific document was recorded.
