Dauphin County Facility Maintenance Department consists of 14 full-time employees, 22 part-time housekeeping employees and 1 full-time in-house postal service employee.  The Facility Maintenance Department is accountable for the maintenance and repair of approximately 29 properties. Our department is responsible for the county warehouse which houses files and provides all material distribution to all county departments. The department also provides assistance with housekeeping, relocation of offices and furniture as well as furniture repair and painting. The department is responsible for control and service of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), snow removal, fire systems, safety, and outside grounds. The Facility Maintenance Department provides prevalent information required by the Department of Labor and Industry regarding certification for boilers, pressure vessels, storage tanks and elevators.
