Compensation
You will be paid for serving as a juror. The rate of pay is set by the Pennsylvania Legislature at $9.00 a day for the first three days of service and $25.00 a day for each day thereafter. You will be paid mileage at a rate of $0.17 a mile. This rate is also set by the Pennsylvania Legislature.
JUROR DONATION PROGRAM
The Dauphin County Court has a juror donation program that allows jurors to donate their compensation. This program is entirely voluntary. You may elect to donate your juror pay when you initially report for jury service or at any time during your service.

Caitlin’s Smiles – The mission of Caitlin’s Smiles is to put smiles on the faces of children facing chronic or life-threatening conditions by encouraging them to focus on creative art activities. “Bags of Smiles” are delivered to children staying overnight in hospitals and include such things as art kits, toys, and drawing supplies.
Dauphin County Court Appointed Special Advocates ("CASA") -- recruits, trains, educates and supervises dedicated volunteers to become agents of change for the abused and neglected youth of Dauphin County. Through investigating, listening and involvement in the courtroom and the child's community, a CASA will assist these children to achieve their full potential.
Dauphin County Bar Foundation’s “We Care about Children Campaign” – This fund provides legal services to low-income families at or below the poverty level for critical child custody issues.
Make-A-Wish – The Make-A-Wish Program grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. A wish come true helps children feel stronger, ore energetic, and more willing and able to battle their life-threatening medical conditions.
Ronald McDonald House – The Ronald McDonald House in Hershey, PA provides a temporary home away from home for families of critically ill children being treated at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.
Veteran’s Trust Fund – The Veteran’s Trust Fund issues grants to statewide charitable organizations that assist veterans, veterans service organizations, and county directors of veteran’s affairs to assist veterans who need shelter and the necessities of life.
