HONORABLE ROYCE L. MORRIS, Judge, Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas. 

After 25 years as an attorney, Royce Morris was elected to serve as a judge on the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas in 2018.  He began his career working for the Dauphin County Public Defender’s Office in 1991 and served as Chief Deputy in that office from 1996-1999. In 1999, Judge Morris joined the law firm of Goldberg Katzman and was elevated to Partner in 2002.  Judge Morris is an adjunct professor at Penn State and teaches in their Criminal Justice program. He also served as the Jurist in Residence for Widener University Commonwealth Law School from 2020-2024. Judge Morris was a member of the Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing from 2011-2015.  Named by Philadelphia Magazine as a “Pennsylvania Super Lawyer” from 2008-2017, his peers rated him at the highest level of professional excellence, AV preeminent. He is a graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland. Since joining the bench Judge Morris has been assigned to handle delinquency and dependency matters. He is also assigned criminal trials.
