Operations
The Dauphin County Department of Public Safety – Office of Safety & Security operates on a 24/7-basis. The Department provides round-the-clock security to the Court House and County Administration Building as well as other county facilities and county parks.
The dedicated Public Safety Officers and staff employed by the Office of Safety & Security work to ensure the safety of county employees and visitors and protection of county assets.

Screening & Monitoring Visitors
The Department is also responsible for screening visitors and monitoring the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) operations at the Court House, Administration Building and other county facilities and parks.
The Department responds to alarms, both fire and intrusion, that become activated at county buildings and coordinate with the appropriate emergency response units.
