The Commissioners and the County's Cultural Celebration Task Force invite you to a free festival celebrating cultural diversity in Dauphin County. Sponsored by Capital Blue Cross, this event will bring together our region's diversity and cultures as well as celebrate and increase awareness of our vast differences and commonalities. This is a free event and no tickets are required.

Enjoy a movie night outdoors under the stars at Fort Hunter Park. The whole family is sure to love Mufasa! The Friends of Fort Hunter will operate a concession stand with movie snacks and drinks. Dauphin County Parks & Recreation is excited to offer a summer of fun events for the whole family with our Sunset Music & Movie Series!

Registration Opens - Saturday, March 1 Join Wildwood Park for the 6th annual Run Wild for Wildwood 5K & 10K. This scenic run/walk will take you on the Wildwood Way Trail around the lake and the Towpath Trail along the Pennsylvania Canal! Bring your friends and family to show your support for Wildwood Park and the community. Registration will open on March 1, 2025 for this event.

Join Penn State Master Gardeners for a leisurely stroll to learn about one of Harrisburg’s Best-Kept Secrets - The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. learn about some of the many perennials, shrubs, and trees in the Park. Gather inspiration for your garden and gain unique information about this local Park, by learning to identify these plants, some of their pollinators, other insects or diseases, and soil or location preferences.

Jazz up your weekend! Join us for the 18th Annual Dauphin County Jazz & Wine Festival at beautiful Fort Hunter Park as we welcome national bands, wine tasting by PA wineries & more! This year’s entertainers include: Eric Darius, Urban Guerilla Orchestra, Jeff Bradshaw, Art Sherrod, Jr., Lin Rountree, Andrew Neu, Althea Rene and Kofi B. Tickets are valid for BOTH days of the festival and for all performances.

The walk location has a mixture of both flat and elevated terrain. The full walk is estimated to take 1-hour based on the pace of the walkers. This is a FREE walk, but we ask that you pre-register. The Work That Reconnects is an inspiring, interactive group process for anyone who longs to serve the healing of our world in a more powerful and effective way. In this 2-hour introduction to the Work That Reconnects, instructor Justin Ferko will guide you through the Three Stories of Our Time and offer experiences with the Work That Reconnects Spiral, a mode of moving with and through eco-grief and/or any other social justice issue that is of concern for you in this time. Join Certified Sound Therapist, Matthew Kramer for a Community Sound Meditation. Sound Meditations encourage deep listening practices which can create an ideal entry point for a meditative experience, particularly for anyone who has struggled to embrace more traditional forms of meditation.This experience creates space for deep relaxation, calming of the mind, and empowering positive change within oneself. Fall is right around the corner, and what better way to get into the spirit than by creating your own one-of-a-kind mosaic! In this class, you will get to make a bright orange 10” pumpkin mosaic. This workshop will be hosted by Amanda from Mosaic Montage. This is a beginner-level workshop; no prior experience is needed!
